Ready-Set-Snap Saturday! Or…My Week in Pictures

Warrior Man bought me these boots for our engagement pictures. And I have worn them ever since. Natch.
Saturday: Engagement Picture Day!! We drove to Omaha on a chilly day, and smiled and kissed for two hours. Then went to spagghetti works. Not a bad day all things considered. πŸ™‚ Warrior Man bought me these boots for our engagement pictures. And I have worn them ever since. Natch.

Church, lace, and Starbucks. Pretty perfect morning in my humble opinion.

Monday: I have been directing a One Act, and all week I have been painting set which revels itself on my strangely painted nails.

Warrior Man's friend lent him this book, and I just cannot stop reading it. Lately, I read it to Warrior Man in the car while he drives. I would highly recommend this book to anybody.

I finally saved up enough to buy myself a DSLR camera! Huzzah!

This is rather an odd picture, but I messed around with it on picmonkey--and it is still rather odd. But in a neat way.

Friday: Warrior Man had his first wrestling tournament this weekend, and placed 2nd! Here's a pic of us after he wrestled his last match. Pretty proud of this guy. And. yes I took this on Saturday, but I counted it as Friday because that is the day he left for the tourney. ;-)

There is something so magical about snapping a picture every day. I love glorifying the mundane, and showcasing the beauty in the daily, don’t you? Taking pictures reminds me that my life is beautiful, fantastic, and filled with blessings. And that made this challenge worth it.

Do you, too, want to participate in this fun challenge of taking a selfie for seven days in a row? It was a lot of fun! Join us over at Second Breakfast for Ready-Set-Snap next week!

  2. We just saved up for a nicer camera too, not DSLR, but certainly a step up from camera phones! Beautiful pictures! I love how you captured each day perfectly! Love Does is a great book. I bought and read it in January after we heard Bob Goff speak and meet him at a youth ministry conference. So many people had read his book and at that point we had not heard it. Enjoy!

    1. Having a nice camera is just so worth it, isn’t it Nathana? I had never heard about Bob Goff or “Love Does” before a few weeks ago. I do not know how I missed it! I am just reveling in reading this book. So amazing. You were so lucky to get to meet him! What an amazing individual.

  3. Oh I love all these pictures! I see you figured out how to use your new camera, and I’m going to check out Love Does. Sounds wonderful!

    1. Yes! I was very stressed indeed with everything going on, and Warrior Man said that I should go do my set painting, and when I got back he would have it figured out (how to make photos the right size), and I went and came back and he had it all figured out. So handy. πŸ˜‰ Let me know when you get “Love Does”! It will be an epic read aloud. It is so wonderful, funny, and insightful.
